How does Laser Genesis actually work? Light pulses from the laser penetrate the skin’s surface, allowing the energy to be absorbed by the deeper tissues and get straight to work on the areas you want targeted. This is all done in a non-ablative way — meaning that your skin is not cut and the skin layer is not removed. Some people refer to this treatment as a YAG laser, because yttrium, aluminum, and garnet are the crystal components that concentrate the light pulses.

Laser Genesis is an easy procedure and causes virtually no pain. A topical anesthetic is not even required for most patients.
